The laboratory is designed to develop practical skills of bachelors and masters of architectural and construction specialties based on BIM-technology design. The laboratory develops general professional competencies, including the ability to analyze and search for technical information, acquire new knowledge, including in the field of information technology. In the field of professional competences are being worked out: the ability to develop design documentation and participate in the development of regulations in the construction industry; the ability to organize the processes of project work, coordination, examination, to eliminate conflicts between sections of the project and when passing documentation to the customer; the ability to provide a calculated justification for the design of buildings and structures using software and computing complexes and systems of automated design, electronic resources in professional development through system development.

The purpose of the laboratory is to update the content of the educational disciplines of the architectural and construction direction based on the introduction of BIM-design technologies.

The software includes the following software products: - Autodesk Autocad 2021; Autodesk Revit 2021, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2021, Tekla Structural.
