Laboratory for quality control and reliability of building structures was created to develop practical skills in the technical inspection of buildings and structures.
Professional competencies:
- Evaluation of seismic safety of buildings and structures;
- Assessment of the technical condition and service life of reinforced concrete, stone, steel and wooden structures.
Purpose: performance of work to determine the actual physical and mechanical characteristics and operational reliability of buildings and structures.
Tasks:
- Identification of defects and damage by instrumental methods, determination of the physical and mechanical characteristics of materials and the degree of wear of structures during the examination of objects.
- Calculation assessment of the bearing capacity, rigidity and crack resistance of structures, as well as the seismic resistance of the building in the laboratory.
- Development of an increase in the seismic safety of a building or structure on an optimal basis (manufacturability, efficiency, economy, aesthetics and durability).
The laboratory is equipped with:
- Ultrasonic flaw detector A1214 EXPERT;
- FLIR E6 thermal imager;
- Complex of strength analysis and design of structures;
- Modules for the calculation of reinforced concrete, steel-fiber-concrete, stone, reinforced masonry, steel, aluminum, wooden structures, bases and Foundations: SCAD Office 11. License No. 10533m;

- Development of recommendations for the use in the manufacture, strengthening and restoration of reinforced concrete and stone structures of fiber-reinforced concrete with steel fiber from production waste (innovative patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 23199, 23652, 25577).
- Visual and instrumental examination of foundation soils and building structures.
- Determination in operated structures by non-destructive methods of the strength of concrete, steel, masonry, the location of the reinforcement, its diameter and the thickness of the protective layer.
- Performance of verification calculations of building structures in order to assess their bearing capacity.
- Assessment of the technical condition of reinforced concrete, stone, steel and wooden building structures of buildings and structures, taking into account their corrosive wear, as well as other damage.
