The educational program "Engineering Systems and Networks" is intended to train highly qualified specialists in the field of housing and communal services and forms:

  • knowledge in the field of design, installation, operation of engineering systems;
  • the ability to make calculations of internal systems of water supply, sewage, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and gas supply of residential, public, industrial buildings and special purpose facilities;
  • the ability to assess the impact of engineering systems and structures on the environment;
  • skills of practical solution of tasks at the workplace as an executor at enterprises in the field of housing and communal services.

Graduates of the OP “Engineering Systems and Networks” may hold a position a foreman, site manager, engineer, design engineer, shift supervisor, foreman (foreman), assistant manager.

The objects of professional activity of graduates are:

  • organizations serving housing facilities;
  • Departments and workshops at industrial enterprises having engineering networks and equipment;
  • design organizations;
  • research organizations.

For training focused on the formation of professional competencies, agreements have been concluded on joint cooperation and the organization of a practical base with water management enterprises (State Design Committee on PVC "Uskemen-Vodokanal", Vostokobleproekt LLP, Vostok Massiproekt LLP, Yertis Basin Inspection for Regulation of Use and water protection of the Committee on Water Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. ”

  • Novosibirsk State Academy of Water Transport.

Excursions to the facilities of Silumin-Vostok LLP, Sogrinskaya TPP LLP, and Ust-Kamenogorsk TPP LLP are conducted for students of the educational program.

For students provided geodetic, industrial and undergraduate practice.

Currently, classes in special disciplines of the educational program are taught by 1 doctor of technical sciences, 4 candidates of technical sciences, 2 masters.

The training of students of the educational program is carried out on the basis of the “Center of competencies and technology transfer in the field of water management and water use”, created in 2019, which includes the laboratories “Hydraulics”, “Integrated Water Resources Management”, “Pumps, Networks and Water Treatment”, “ Hydrochemistry ”,“ Heating and ventilation ”.

When implementing the educational program, students are involved in research work in the areas of: water-saving and “green technologies” in engineering systems. The results of scientific research are regularly published in publications of national and international importance.

After graduation, students are awarded the academic bachelor's degree in educational program 6В07311 "Engineering systems and networks."

After graduation, graduates have the opportunity to continue their studies in the magistracy of EKTU on the educational program 7M07310 "Water supply and sewerage."

The educational program was opened at the request of employers in 2019.
