Foundation

The Foundation program is an intensive academic, scientific and language training of students for educational programs of organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The strategic goal is to prepare foreign students for admission to the university, help them to adapt and develop their academic training skills.

Tasks:

  • Training on a state educational order and on a paid basis for foreigners, persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens;
  • Adaptation to academic education in VKTU and development of personal skills;
  • Organizing and conducting educational work with foreign students, familiarizing them with the lifestyle, traditions, customs and culture, internal regulations of the educational institution, laws and regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Training is possible, both within the framework of a state grant, and on a paid basis.

Rules for accepting documents

Procedure for accepting documents

The university accepts documents of foreign citizens for intensive language training, which combines adaptation to the academic life of foreign citizens who want to study at the VKTU in Russian,Kazakh, and English.

The following documents are provided for admission:

  1. electronic or paper application for admission in any form;
  2. an electronic copy or a paper version of the identity document;
  3. an electronic copy or a paper version of the document on education and its appendices and a scanned notarized translation (if the document is completely in a foreign language), including the translation of the seal;
  4. medical certificate form 086-U. You will be able to get a certificate upon arrival in Kazakhstan, having passed the appropriate medical commission. It is mandatory to have the seal of each doctor and the round seal of the medical institution in the lower left corner. During the medical examination, you will need to undergo a fluorography procedure. The film version of the fluorography image must be submitted to the admission committee in accordance with subparagraph 31) of Article 7 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 7, 2020 "On the Health of the People and the Health system of the Republic of Kazakhstan";
  5. medical certificates of mental health, absence of HIV infection, a copy of the vaccination card; certified by the official health authority of the sending country.
  6. a document confirming (Certificate) of non-criminal record;

Online acceptance of documents by the university from June 1 to September 25 of the calendar year.
Admission requirement

Foreign citizens with general secondary, technical and vocational education are accepted to the University.

The right for foreigners, persons of Kazakh nationality, to receive free training on a competitive basis in accordance with the state educational order is determined by the competition commission of the university.

Admission of foreign citizens to study on a paid basis is carried out according to the results of an interview conducted by the University's admission committee.

Foreign citizens are taught in Kazakh, Russian or English.

After the order for enrollment, the applicant must provide the original documents to the admission committee in person.

The University has the right to request additional documents from foreign citizens and stateless persons.
All documents of enrolled applicants submitted to the VKTU are non-refundable. The exception is the original state-issued document on general secondary, technical and vocational or post-secondary education or higher education, or a bachelor's or specialist's degree with an appendix, which is returned after completion of training or expulsion from the University.
Competition procedure

To conduct a competitive selection, an admission committee is created from among the university teachers. Competitive selection is conducted by the selection committee in the period from 10 to 15 September of the calendar year.

When passing the competitive selection conducted by the university, the applicant presents a document proving his identity and a notification of the registration of the document.

The results of the competitive selection are drawn up, the protocol of the admission committee in any form and signed by the chairman and all the members of the commission present.
The order of enrollment

On the basis of the protocol of the admission committee, a decision is made on the admission of students to the preparatory departments of the State University under the state educational order and is brought to the attention of foreigners, persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan who have passed the competitive selection by September 25 of the calendar year.

Admission to the number of students is carried out by the university's admission committee from 25 to 28 September of the calendar year.

Training is carried out by full-time and distance learning.

Classes start on October 1 of the calendar year. The training period is 9 months.
Distance learning

Distance learning for students is provided:

  1. in the presence of the conclusion of the medical advisory commission;
  2. at birth, adoption of a child before the age of three years with the submission of supporting documents;
  3. for persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreigners who left their place of residence during the school year and are unable to return due to the closure of the border, the declaration of quarantine and other circumstances beyond their control.
