• Research of processes of occurrence and development of various emergency situations with development of automated monitoring systems and preventive measures;
• Research in the field of sustainable development and green initiatives;
• Research of natural environments (air, water, bottom sediments and soil, biota) in the zone of influence of metallurgical operations;
• Monitoring and management of climate active gases flows in ecosystems of industrial cities, representative ecosystems of East-Kazakhstan region, enterprises and organizations with formation of carbon-free models;
• Use of isotope methods in the study of anthropogenic impacts on the environment;
• Study of aerosol radiation background in the surface layer of the atmosphere of an industrial city;
• Development of projects on recycling of production and consumption waste (industrial waste, MSW, paper, plastic, organic waste).
• Within the framework of mega-grant “BR24992854 Development and implementation of competitive science-based technologies to ensure sustainable development of mining and metallurgical industry of East Kazakhstan region” the following tasks are performed in the center:
  •  carrying out environmental monitoring;
  •  research of heavy metals influence on environmental components;
  •  study of historical radiation contamination;
  •  study of carbon footprint and sustainable development.
