The teaching staff is trained on professional development courses based on the plan of the Head of the Department of Education of the Mniistry of Defence of the RK. Mainly officers certified to higher positions, as well as officers who have no experience in teaching, are sent to advanced training courses. Most officers-teachers have taken refresher courses at the Academy of Management, Security and Special Programs at M.S. Narikbayev KAZGYU and at the Institute of Security and Special Educational Programs at the Republican Public Association Academy of Military Sciences.

Every year 5-6 teaching officers undergo a short-term refresher course program "Organization of pedagogical work in a military higher school" in the amount of 72 hours and receive a certificate of advanced training.
