Field of professional activity: higher education institutions, research institutes, research centers, design, technological and constructive organizations, administrating authorities, educational institutions (pedagogical schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, colleges, special schools of physics and mathematics), industrial production, etc.

Object of professional activity:

• Research institutes of physics and mechanics, computer science and other organizations of natural and technical profile;
• Higher educational institutions of state and non-state ownership;
• Agencies of State administration in the field of education and natural Sciences;
• Organizations of various forms of ownership that use physical models in their work.

 Types of professional activity: educational programs of doctoral studies are implemented in the scientific and pedagogical direction of training and provide specialized professional training that allows graduates to subsequently successfully engage in scientific, pedagogical, managerial and expert activities.

Functions of professional activity:

1. Scientific and research activities:

• study of new scientific results, scientific literature or research projects in accordance with the profile of the object of professional activity;
• application of high-tech technologies and software packages for solving applied problems in the field of physics,
• study of information systems by methods of mathematical forecasting and system analysis;
• study of large systems by modern methods of high-performance computing technologies, the use of modern supercomputers in research;
• research and development of mathematical models, algorithms, methods, software, tools on the subject of research projects;
• preparation of scientific reviews, abstracts and bibliographies on the subject of research;
• participation in scientific seminars, scientific-themed conferences, symposiums;
• preparation of scientific and technical publications.

2. Organizational and managerial activities:

• development and implementation of quality management processes for production activities related to the creation and use of information systems;
• compliance with the code of professional ethics;
• planning of research activities and resources necessary for the implementation of production processes;
• development of methods and mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the quality of production processes related to the creation and use of information systems.

Currently, 7 PhD doctors of science in special disciplines of the educational program. The teaching staff together with doctoral students are actively engaged in research activities.

The results of scientific research of doctoral students are regularly published in national and international publications. Doctoral students take an active part in competitions of scientific papers, in National and International scientific conferences of young scientists and students.

After completing and defending a doctoral dissertation, a doctoral student is awarded a PhD degree in the educational program 8D05301 - "Technical physics".
