Exam Organization Sector (EOS) of D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University is a structural unit of the Department of Organization and Monitoring of Educational Process of the Academic Activity Office.
EOS specialists monitor and control the following procedures:
1. Examination Procedure
- written format (using a QR code);
- oral format (commission);
- test format (1C program);
- art exams (educational programs "Architecture", "Architectural Environment Design", "Design");
- online mode (Open.edx.kz, Moodle platforms);
2. The process of compiling a database of examination material;
3. Proctors work
4. Assessment of examination papers by teaching staff.
5. Forming packages of exam tickets in accordance with the schedule for conducting exams in a written format using a QR code.
Algorithm for conducting examinations (in written format using a QR code):
- Entering the classroom for passing the exam, a student applies a pass to the reading device and his admission card is displayed on the screen with a green colour;
- In case the student is allowed to pass, he is given 90 - minutes time for passing the exam;
- At the end of the exam, the student, attaches the pass to the reading device and receives a QR code in printed form. Then the student hands it over to the proctor, who attaches the QR code to the examination materials;
- After collecting the examination papers, the proctor hands over the papers (admission sheets, envelopes with unused tickets, the rest of the blank answer sheets, exam procedure acts of violation if any, QR code ticket, student answer sheet) to the employee of the Exam Organization Sector;
- Assessment of examination papers is carried out on the day of the examination in a specially designed classroom. An employee of the Exam Organization Sector gives the teacher a set of written papers (QR code exam ticket, student’s answer sheet). The results of the exam are set by the teacher under his username and password in the grade sheet on the educational portal through a mobile application (from a smartphone or tablet of the university). Each student is identified by a QR code.
- Grades are reflected in the final grade report.
