The Contract Research Office is an internal structural subdivision of the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University and was created to solve the following tasks:
- Creation and maintenance of the functioning of the system of stimulation of fundamental and applied research, including the support of leading scientists, research teams and scientific and pedagogical schools capable of providing an advanced level of education and scientific research.
- Creation and maintenance of the functioning of the industrial innovation system of the University, stimulating the formation of new science-intensive, high-tech industries that meet modern requirements and world standards, for the manufacture of science-intensive products and the development of small and medium-sized innovative businesses.
- Creation of a system of coordination of activities of subjects of scientific, technical and innovative activities and effective interaction of education, science and production.
- Stimulating interregional and international scientific, technical and innovative cooperation.
- Ensuring the protection of objects of intellectual property of the University.
- Development and implementation of the University's policy in the field of building scientific infrastructure, aimed at the development of scientific, educational and innovative activities, focused on the needs of the market and the commercialization of its results;
- Maintaining the uninterrupted functioning of the equipment fleet through technical support and planning of service maintenance of the equipment fleet and related engineering systems, purchase of consumables;
- Проведение анализа состояния парка оборудования, выявление проблем и направлений развития научной инфраструктуры, наиболее перспективных и представляющих коммерческий интерес для рынка;
- Commercialization of equipment through searching for customers and carrying out work on commercial projects.
- Assistance in the provision of information, marketing and other services to scientists and inventors engaged in scientific and innovative activities.
