Development of a Master Degree Programme in the Management of Industrial Entrepreneurship for Transition Countries – MIETCD

D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University runs the Erasmus+ Call V (2019)  “Development of a Master Programme in the Management of Industrial Entrepreneurship for Transition Countries – MIETC”

In the frame of the project the needs of the labor market is analyzed to develop Master degree program, curriculum and content of the courses taking into account the current training opportunities in Central Asian universities, as well as the involvement of private regional industrial companies and government agencies. We aim to contribute to the internationalization of universities and the socio-economic development of industrial regions

The project objectives
  • Develop and implement an interdisciplinary Master degree program in cooperation with EU universities. The program will be designed taking into account experience of Central Asian universities and the needs of industries in Central Asia.
  • Academic capacity building of Central Asian universities and improving competences and skills for innovative education as well as professional development of the faculty.
  • Establish close cooperation between universities to exchange information and with industries for further employment of graduates.
  •  Support modernization, accessibility and internationalization of higher education.
  • Effectively address gender, inclusiveness and sustainability of higher education in Central Asian partner universities.
Outcomes of the project
  • An interdisciplinary Master’s degree programme in Management of Industrial Entrepreneurship will be developed and accredited. The Master degree programme will be tailored to the needs of the labor market.
  • Central Asian higher education institutions will acquire relevant knowledge and skills in the development of international innovative educational programs demanded by the market.
  • Cooperation between universities and industries will be established. It will facilitate the training of graduates demanded by industries.
  • The modernization, accessibility and internationalization of higher education in the Central Asian countries will be ensured.
