EKTU started synchronous and asynchronous classes for MIETC participants from CA universitites.

Orientation meeting with TSUC instructors on December 24th, 2020 where English language platform Online Language Studio was introduced.

The second module focuses on General English (levels A2 and B1) through asynchronous learning on the OLS online multimedia platform and synchronous online classes in zoom. This training module is a hybrid, where work on grammar and vocabulary is practiced on the platform asynchronously, and speaking and listening in online synchronous classes.

The second training module also includes an Academic Listening and Speaking English language course. The purpose of the course is to teach academic speaking and listening to subject teachers to use professional English for academic purposes. The course contains synchronized online sessions, virtual individual meetings, video lectures, video tutorials, presentations, and a final project.

D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical university within the framework of the Erasmus + CBHB Call V (2019) implements the project 610198-EPP-1-2019-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “ DEVELOPMENT OF A MASTER PROGRAMME IN THE MANAGEMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR TRANSITION COUNTRIES” (MIETC).

To design a Master degree program “Industrial Entrepreneurship” needs analysis of labor market, curricula and training content are developed taking into account the current training opportunities of Central Asian universities, as well as involving private regional industrial companies and government agencies. The project is to contribute to the internationalization of universities and the socio-economic development of industrial regions in CA.

A meeting of the MIETC Management Board and the Academic Board took place on February 9th 2021 where the following issues were discussed: 

  1. Financial and administrative issues 
  2. Presentation of the Quality Plan 
  3. Proposal of the structure of the Master and list of subjects 
  4. Presentations about the accreditation process in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
  5. Update on the English training program (EKTSU)  

 The meeting  included a short presentation of the accreditation in each country including information about the number of credits, compulsory subjects, teaching materials required, share of lectures/independent work/seminars, etc. The consortium members also discussed the curriculum and training courses

D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical university presented the updated English language strategy.
