Interior of residential and public buildings
Description: A typological classification of premises is given and the patterns of organizing interiors depending on the types of buildings, the concept of architectural space are revealed, an analytical analysis of the interior is carried out according to its constituent components (spatial form, fencing surfaces and equipment) to obtain a holistic solution.

Cycle: Profiling disciplines
Goal
- to form a student's holistic view of the typological features of interiors, to teach the methods and means of organizing the internal space of residential and public buildings.
Objective
- be able to distinguish functional, compositional, constructive and other features of the internal space of residential and public buildings that determine the organization of the interior;
- know the methods of structuring and adapting professional knowledge to solve practical problems in organizing interiors;
- to master practical skills, techniques and means of designing various types of interior.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
- have the skills to collect pre-project information, analyze the compositional, functional, constructive solution of the building; know the influence of the building typology on the design result; understand the classification of subject interior equipment.
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
- ability to read architectural and construction drawings; the ability to represent the author's intention in the form of drawings; the ability to use the acquired knowledge on the organization of interiors to independently solve design problems.
Learning outcome: formation of judgments
- the ability to critically evaluate the process and design results; possession of professional terminology and argumentation.
Learning outcome: communicative abilities
- have professional communication skills in the design process; master the techniques of project presentation and constructive solutions.
Learning outcome: learning skills or learning abilities
- have the skills to expand professional knowledge; the ability to seek and assimilate new information.
Teaching methods
lectures, watching videos, working on the Internet using the suggested links; practical work on educational topics; graphic and layout modeling; independent work of students in the learning process.
Assessment of the student's knowledge
Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

Evaluation form
The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:
- 40% of the examination result;
- 60% of current control result.
The final grade is calculated by the formula:
FG = 0,6 | MT1+MT2 | +0,4E |
2 |
Where Midterm 1, Midterm 2are digital equivalents of the grades of Midterm 1 and 2;
E is a digital equivalent of the exam grade.
