Goal
  • formation of students' skills in organizing and planning scientific work, acquisition by students of experience in conducting scientific experiments and processing the results of scientific and practical research.
Objective
  • - the ability to set, plan and conduct research works of a theoretical and applied nature in the objects of the sphere of professional activity; - the ability to prepare scientific and technical reports, reviews and publications based on the results of research; - the ability to develop new methods of experimental research; - the ability to fix and protect intellectual property objects; - the ability to analyze and generalize research results.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
  • - Goals and objectives of scientific research: - General scientific methods and their application in scientific research; - Methods of collecting and processing scientific data; - The role of technical sciences and engineering research in modern science.
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
  • – analyze literary data, – formulate research goals and objectives; – apply methods of ranking, abstraction and formalization in the analysis of literary and experimental scientific data; – work with measuring instruments and experimental data obtained; – perform SWOT analysis of scientific data and technological solutions; – assess risks and ways to prevent them when planning scientific research; – work with scientific databases.
Learning outcome: formation of judgments
  • - can make non-standard decisions; - owns modern computer technologies used in processing the results of scientific experiments and collecting, processing, storing and transmitting information during independent scientific research; - understands the principles of work and is able to work on modern scientific equipment when conducting scientific research; - has an idea of the most relevant areas of research; - is able to analyze scientific literature in order to choose the direction of research on the proposed topic; - able to analyze the results obtained, draw the necessary conclusions and formulate proposals; - is able to present the results obtained in research in the form of reports.
Learning outcome: communicative abilities
  • - be able to correctly explain and formalize the results of research; - be able to successfully develop new directions; - independently solve practical problems; - to deeply assimilate the theoretical foundations of modern research methods.
Learning outcome: learning skills or learning abilities
  • - undergraduates should acquire practical skills in using various research methods; - possess the basic skills of experimental techniques.
Teaching methods

When mastering the discipline, the following combinations of types of educational work with methods and forms of activating the cognitive activity of undergraduates are used to achieve the planned learning outcomes and the formation of competencies: discussion, teamwork, individual training.
