Soil ecology
Description: The discipline studies the processes occurring in the soil environment, their impact on ecosystems and human health, as well as the interaction of soil with living organisms, aquatic and atmospheric components. The course is aimed at understanding the processes affecting the structure and functions of the soil, as well as their stability and change under the influence of anthropogenic factors. Knowledge in the field of soil ecology is necessary for effective management of natural resources, improvement of agriculture, prevention of soil degradation and restoration of polluted ecosystems.
