Description: The discipline studies changes in the Earth's climate system, their causes, consequences, as well as measures to adapt and mitigate negative impacts. Global climate change is associated with rising temperatures, changes in atmospheric and oceanic processes, and increased extreme weather events. It is an interdisciplinary field that covers the physical, environmental, social, and economic aspects of climate change, as well as ways to address climate issues at the global level.
