Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the results of the Republican contest "The best teacher of Higher Education Institution ". In 2014, 545 people took part from 90 universities of Kazakhstan in this contest. According to the results of the competitive selection the best teachers of higher educational institutions of the country were identified. Among them are two teachers of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University!

Honorary titles "The Best University Teacher" were assigned to two teachers of the Information Technology and Power Engineering Department of EKSTU - Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, head of the sub-department "Instrument engineering and Technology automation" Alexander Baklanov and Candidate of technical sciences, head of the sub-department, "Mathematical and Computer modeling " Saule Rakhmetullina.
