This conference was held at EKTU with the support of the International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), as well as the International Cartographic Association and the International Federation of Geodesists.

The event was attended by scientists and entrepreneurs from various industries related to BIM and GIS technologies from different countries: the USA, the Czech Republic, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Germany, CIS countries and neighboring countries. As well as the representatives of state-owned enterprises such as:

Eastern Scientific Research Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, Republican State Center for Urban Planning and Cadastre of the Committee for Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, State Institution "Management of Land Relations of the East Kazakhstan region".

During the visit, the guests were introduced to the material and technical base of the university.

It should be noted that the purpose of the conference was to discuss scientific and applied developments in the field of the introduction of BIM and GIS technologies in architecture and construction, mining, industry, agriculture and other sectors of the economy, the development of educational programs on BIM and GIS in educational institutions, as well as the exchange of experience in the application of BIM and GIS technologies in real life activities.

The conference is designed to bring together educators, scientists and specialists from various industries in which geospatial data is actively used.

Special attention was paid to digital technologies, remote sensing methods, unmanned aerial vehicles, lidars and open source BIM technologies suitable for the key areas of the conference.
