Scientific-educational center of complex research of Altai conducted field expedition through the territory of Ulan district and the mountain range Delbegetey of the East Kazakhstan Region. The expedition was participated by the Head of REC and KIA, A. Smagulova; the Head of the Laboratory of Multi-physical Researches, Design and Engineering, A. Okhotenko; and the artist-designer of the Polytechnical Museum, V. Kalinin.

The aim of organization of the field work was collecting scientific data for methodical and methodological support of tour material and Augmented Reality for the hall of Mining and Metallurgy of Polytechnic Museum of EKSTU. Moreover, the complex expedition is one of the measures for implementation the program, "Ruhani Zhangyru" in "Tugan Zher", as corresponds to one of its objectives - the restoration of cultural sites and historical monuments.

The route of the expedition ran through the archaeological sites of the region. This is the grotto Akbaur, Lake Sartynbet and ancient workings on tin: Karagoyin, Baymurza, Askaraly.

During the field work, participants of expedition carefully studied the ancient mines, the composition of rocks and directions of ore veins. To replenish the museum's exposition, a large volume of geological materials was collected: samples of porphyrite, sedimentary rocks and quartz, natural materials for decorating expositions.

Participation of the Dean of the Earth Sciences Faculty, A. Bubnyak, in one of the trips to the Baymurz facility significantly widened the expectations of the participants about the ancient excavations in the framework of geological processes and the composition of the mountain deposits. He made measurements with the help of a geological compass, and also gave recommendations for studying the underground state of deposits by geological scanning.

During the field work, continuous aerial photography of the landscape, geological objects, texture of the rock material, the internal state of the underground chambers of the ancient mines, rock art. The results of filming will form the basis of 3D modeling of objects in space, in the content of video materials and augmented reality.

An important part of the work of the expedition was the creation of artistic sketches of archaeological sites and the landscape as a whole. This work was carried out by the artist-designer of the Polytechnic Museum, a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, V. Kalinin. Etudes are prepared for exhibiting in the museum hall and will be an excellent addition to the historical representation of mountain practices from the Paleolithic era to the Early Iron Age.

The expedition members established new contacts with regional ethnographers in various settlements through which their route ran, received a lot of important information and expressed their gratitude for their support and participation.

Separately we would like to note and thank leading experts of the regional museums of Ust-Kamenogorsk, G. Kusch and G. Petenev, for providing information, readiness for cooperation and new projects.

The team of the expedition members thanks the university leadership for the opportunity to implement important tasks, not only in the scale of the activities of the Polytechnic Museum and the Scientific and Educational Center for Comprehensive Study of the Altai, but also at the regional scale to reconstruct the unique experience of mining and metallurgical practices of the Bronze Age.
