On the 1st of November at D. Serikbayev EKSTU there was a meeting with Mr. Richard Boum, coordinator of partnerships development between American universities and foreign countries in the Bureau for South and Central Asia of the USA State Department and Megan Tetrick, attaché for culture and education questions of the USA Embassy in Astana.
In the framework of his first visit to D. Serikbayev EKSTU, guests discussed the opportunities of partnership between D.Serikbayev EKSTU and USA universities.
At Round table Mr. Richard Boum gave a consultation for scientists EKSTU on the establishment of partnership and answered questions. The initiative of partnership development pays special attention to capacity-building through professional development, adjustments to curricula, research and intercultural communication development.
The meeting was attended by O. Gavrilenko, Vice-rector of science and international cooperation; Alontseva D., Professor of Instrument Engineering and Technology Automation Department; N. Kulenova, the Head of EKSTU metallurgy complex; M. Yussubalieva, senior researcher of the center for quality assessment and development of educational technologies of D. Serikbayev EKSTU; S. Ualieva, senior lecturer of Social Humanitarian scinces and Kazakhstan people Assambley Department; T. Kolesnikova, senior lecturer of foreign languages Department of D. Serikbaev EKSTU; E. Komekbaev, specialist of higher qualification of the center for international development and cooperation of D. Serikbaev EKSTU.
Summing up the visit, Richard Boum thanked for a fruitful meeting.
