The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Monika Iversen, made a visit to D. Serikbayev EKTU. During the visit, the ambassador was given a small tour by the Chairwoman of the Board - Rector Saule Zhadigerovna Rahmetullina and the acting Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Sultan Yertai. They discussed with the ambassador the prospects of bilateral cooperation, talked about plans for the development of the dual education sphere, shared the achievements of the university and plans for the future.
The ambassador was particularly interested in the scientific projects of EKTU, developments in prosthetics and the medical field, some of which are already being applied in practice, as well as the project of the first Kazakhstani medical technopark based at the university. In the Smart Engineering Competence Center, the ambassador spoke with scientists and staff, noting their high level of competence and the integration of laboratories with modern equipment.
In general, EKTU has its own history of interaction with Germany, our university has cooperated and cooperates with this country at different levels. Now we are developing the concept of the Kazakh-German Research Institute of Science and Technology, which will be based at our university, - noted the Chairman of the Board - Rector Saule Rakhmetullina.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Monika Iversen, very positively received the idea of creating a research institute and promised interaction and support from her side for this promising mutually beneficial project.
