On November 20, 2025, a practical workshop was held at the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU), dedicated to the effective use of international digital platforms for promoting scientific activities. The event was organized as part of an initiative aimed at developing researchers' digital competencies and enhancing the global visibility of the university's research outcomes.
The workshop focused on professional networks such as LinkedIn, ORCID, and ResearchGate - leading platforms for building academic reputation and expanding international research connections. Participants were introduced to tools and best practices for creating high-quality researcher profiles, integrating publications, correctly managing digital identifiers, and visualizing scientific activity. These resources are key elements of the modern scientific landscape and contribute to strengthening the international presence of Kazakhstani researchers.
During the workshop, participants explored strategies for publishing scientific materials, promoting research projects, and using analytics tools to monitor the impact of their work. Individual consultations were also provided on optimizing academic profiles, as well as recommendations for expanding international contacts and building professional networking.
The results of the workshop contribute to strengthening EKTU's research potential, increasing the openness and accessibility of the university's scientific outputs, and fostering a culture of digital scientific communication.
