The laboratory "Hydrochemistry" of the Center for Competence and Technology Transfer in the field of water management and water use is an educational and production base for the implementation of a practice-oriented model of education in the educational programs of the bachelor's degree "Water Resources and Water Use" and "Engineering Systems and Networks", the master's degree "Water Supply and Sewerage".
The laboratory "Hydrochemistry» is a base for research work of students, undergraduates and employees.
The direction of the laboratory's activity:
- overcoming the gap between practical and theoretical education in the educational process through the development of technical knowledge skills among students and undergraduates;
- assistance in the educational process in the disciplines: Water chemistry and modern methods of water analysis; Hydrochemistry; Water chemistry and microbiology; Improving water quality, Equipment and technology of water purification;
- improving the quality of training of a modern competitive specialist - a graduate of the East Kazakhstan Technical University named after. D. Serikbaeva;
- practical study of materials obtained in theoretical lecture classes, allowing students to master the basic techniques of chemical experiments, methods for determining physical and chemical indicators of water quality, and sediments formed during the purification of natural and waste waters;
- use of the results of laboratory research conducted by students during practical training at internship sites at enterprises;
- conducting scientific research in the field of practical training in the field of engineering and technology of water purification, improving water quality, and sediment conditioning;
- organizing and holding seminars, conferences, round tables on the study of modern research methods, instruments and equipment when conducting research work in the field of water purification.
