Center of Competence and Technology Transfer in the field of water management and water use

 The laboratory «Pumps, networks and water treatment» of the Competence and Technology Transfer Center in the field of water management and water use is an educational and production base for the implementation of a practice-oriented model of education in the bachelor's degree programs «Water resources and water use» and «Engineering Systems and Networks», the master's degree program «Water Supply and Sewerage».

The laboratory is a base for practice-oriented training and research work of students, undergraduates and staff. The laboratory was created to form the creative potential of students and undergraduates who are able to professionally observe, investigate and analyze the operation of pumps, pressure networks and natural and wastewater treatment facilities in production conditions.

The direction of the laboratory's activity

• bridging the gap between practical and theoretical education in the educational process by developing students' technical knowledge skills;
• improving the quality of training of a modern competitively capable specialist – graduate of D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University;
• practical study of materials obtained at theoretical lectures, allowing students to master the principles of operation of various devices and apparatuses in water supply and sewerage systems;
• using the results of laboratory studies conducted by students during production practices at industrial enterprises;
• conducting scientific research in the field of practical education;
• organization and holding of seminars, conferences, round tables on the study of modern research methods, instruments and equipment during research work in the field of pumps, operation of pressure water supply networks, operation of water treatment facilities.

• The nature of measuring the flow of liquid along the length of the pipeline with various methods of its selection
