The Department of Physics provides training for 1 group of the bachelor's degree educational program, 1 group of the master's degree educational program, 1 doctoral educational program.

The department consists of highly qualified teachers who have completed internships abroad, as well as young teachers - graduates of this department.

The department's teaching is conducted in the state and Russian languages - full-time; in multilingual groups, classes are conducted in Kazakh, Russian and English.

The Department of Physics has created: five educational laboratories – «Mechanics», «Molecular Physics and Thermodynamics», «Electricity and Magnetism», «Optics», «Atomic and Nuclear Physics» and one laboratory with elements of scientific research "Modeling of complex physical processes"
