7M08301 – The educational program "Forest resources and forestry" includes the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of multipurpose sustainable and inexhaustible use of forests of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the development and implementation of forest inventory measures, the use of information technologies and aerospace methods in forestry and landscape construction, the training of highly qualified, competitive in the labor market for forestry research enterprises accounting and design, production and technological work at forestry enterprises in the region and in demand, designed to train specialists capable of performing organizational work.

7M08301 - Forest resources and forestry occupy leading positions in the republican ratings.

The objects of professional activity of graduates are forestry enterprises and research forest institutions of all forms of ownership of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

  • Forestry and Wildlife Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • municipal state forestry institutions;
  • regional departments of natural resources and environmental management;
  • specially protected natural territories (state nature reserves, state national nature parks and reserves, botanical gardens, state natural monuments, etc.);
  • forest management and other design enterprises;
  • forest nurseries, forest seed and breeding stations;
  • enterprises of deep processing of wood;
  • city gardens, parks of culture and recreation;
  • joint-stock companies, production cooperatives, LLP, sole proprietors engaged in landscaping and landscaping of settlements;

Within the framework of the educational program, training is carried out:

"For the implementation of educational programs, new methods of reverse learning (modern principles and technologies of training) have been introduced at the university.

A program of training multilingual personnel with training in three languages (Kazakh, Russian and English) is being implemented. Agreements have been concluded on joint cooperation with forestry enterprises and the organization of a practical base for training aimed at the formation of professional competencies (KazNIILHA LLP, RSE at the Altai Botanical Garden of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan). Currently, classes in special disciplines of the educational program are conducted by 3 doctors of sciences, 2 candidates of sciences and 2 masters. Masters take an active part in competitions of master's scientific works of undergraduates, republican and international scientific conferences of young scientists and students. They annually take prizes in the framework of the republican competition (KAZNAU Almaty).

When implementing an educational program, it is mandatory to involve students in engineering educational, research work that is competitive at the national and international level. The results of scientific research of undergraduates are regularly published in publications of national and international importance.
