7M06101 - Information systems

The purpose of the Master's educational programme ‘Information Systems’ is focused on the formation of general and special competences necessary for the application of system principles of design, development and support of complex information systems based on meta-logical and technological solutions, as well as for innovative research using modern software tools for data analysis and knowledge discovery in systems with large amounts of data.

Areas of graduates:
  • development of information systems with distributed architecture, configuration and debugging of information system components, configuration and administration of the system network infrastructure;
  • development of cloud applications, use of existing cloud services;
  • implementation of simulation models in general-purpose software and data mining methods.
  • formulate and develop effective corporate information security policies that address internal and external national and international threats.
  • develop visual representations of data, development of computer vision applications for big data processing.
Directions of study:
  • scientific and pedagogical direction: Master of Technical Sciences - 2 years.
Speciality subjects:
  • Algorithms and data structures;
  • Databases.
Research activities of Master students:

Master students take an active part in competitions of scientific works, in republican and international scientific conferences of young scientists and master students, as well as in various scientific and research projects and training courses.

Graduates can continue their studies in doctoral studies at VKTU in the speciality «8D06101 - Information Systems (by branches)»
