The university has specialized laboratories: "Analog and digital electronics" and educational laboratories such as "Fundamentals of radio engineering", "Fundamentals of electronics and circuitry" and "Telecommunications of cyber-physical systems". All laboratories are equipped with modern laboratory equipment. And also there is a laboratory complex Cisco, LUCAS NILL UniTrain-I "Multimedia desktop laboratory".

The curriculum provides for the study

• development and implementation of optimal technologies for the manufacture of technical means of radio engineering, electronics and telecommunications;
• operation of radio engineering, electronics and telecommunications systems, their technical information, mathematical and software; - prevention, repair, adjustment of technical means of radio engineering, electronics and telecommunications;

The university has educational buildings that comply with sanitary rules and regulations, medical points and catering facilities.

In the process of preparation, the material and technical base of the university is used, which includes 25 computer classes connected to the Internet and equipped with the latest equipment, a diploma design office, educational laboratories for disciplines, a reading room and a book fund of a bio library, an Internet center.

Demand for a specialty

In modern conditions of intensive development of communications and radio engineering communications, including defense, there is an acute issue of training qualified specialists in the field of radio engineering and telecommunications.

In the East Kazakhstan region, a qualitatively new approach is observed in the construction of global and regional communication systems.The East Kazakhstan branch of the Trans-Asian-European fiber-optic communication line is put into operation. The construction of a satellite network for rural communications is underway, providing communications in remote and sparsely populated areas of the republic.

To date, 230 DAMA satellite communication stations have been commissioned. The national data transmission network "Kazakhstan Online" was created. Intensive development of telecommunication networks of CJSC is observed.NURSAT, ASTEL OJSC and other operators of the republic.
