Direction metallurgy

The direction of Metallurgy was formed on September 1, 2023 as a result of reorganization by separating from the structure of the School of Metallurgy and Enrichment of Minerals.

The branch of metallurgy and mineral processing is designed to generate and disseminate new knowledge in the field of mineral processing and metallurgy, to develop and implement advanced technologies in the production process.

The aim is to train specialists of a new formation capable of using advanced digital technologies in the field of mining and processing industries and metallurgy.

The teaching staff consists of more than 26 full–time teachers, of which: 14 are candidates of sciences and PhD doctors, 7 have a master's degree.

The direction of metallurgy and mineral processing provides training in 5 bachelor's degree programs, 3 master's degree programs and 1 doctoral degree program. Graduates of metallurgy and mineral processing are specialists in demand in various mining and metallurgical enterprises, including Kazzinc LLP, UMZ JSC, TMK Management Company JSC. Riddersky GOK and OF "Altai" Kazzinc LLP, a branch of RSE "NC KPMS RK" Vniitsvetmet, KAZ Minerals LLP, JSC FIC "Alel", Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, Bakyrchik Mining Enterprise LLP and others.

Russian Russian and metallurgy courses are conducted in the state and Russian languages - full-time and with the use of distance learning technology; in multilingual groups, classes are conducted in Kazakh, Russian and English.
