Graduates of EP 7M05301 "Technical physics" can hold the position
head of the laboratory; Deputy.head of the laboratory; research engineer; engineer; senior researcher; researcher; operator engineer.

1. Scientific and research activities:
- study of new scientific results;
- scientific literature or research projects in accordance with the profile of the object of professional activity;
- application of high-tech technologies and software packages for solving applied problems in the field of physics, chemistry, biology, economics, medicine, ecology;
- study of information systems by methods of mathematical forecasting and system analysis;
- study of large systems using modern methods of high-performance computing technologies, the use of modern supercomputers in research;
- research and development of mathematical models, algorithms, methods, software, tools on the subject of ongoing research projects;
- preparation of scientific reviews, abstracts and bibliographies on the subject of research;
- participation in scientific seminars, scientific conferences, and symposiums;
- preparation of scientific and technical publications.
2. Organizational and management activities:
- development and implementation of quality management processes for production activities related to the creation and use of information systems;
- compliance with the code of professional ethics;
- planning of research activities and resources necessary for the implementation of production processes;
- development of methods and mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the quality of production processes related to the creation and use of information systems..
For training focused on the formation of professional competencies, agreements on joint cooperation and the organization of a practical base have been signed with the enterprises of JSC "NNC RK IAE", JSC "UMP", LLP "Technoanalit" and others, which conduct field classes, training and production practices, and further employment of graduates of EP 7M05301-"Technical physics".
Currently, classes in special disciplines of the educational program are conducted by 7 doctors of PhD7. Teachers are actively engaged in research activities.
When implementing an educational program, it is mandatory to involve students in research work. The results of scientific research of undergraduates are regularly published in national and international publications. Undergraduates take an active part in research competitions, National and International scientific conferences of young scientists and students.
Undergraduates participate in the academic mobility program. Partner universities: national research nuclear University "MEPhI" (NRU MEPhI), Moscow, Russia; Wroclaw University of science and technology, Wroclaw, Poland; Lublin Polytechnic University, Lublin, Poland.
After graduation, the student is awarded an academic master's degree in the educational program 7M05301 – "Technical physics".
After completing the master's degree, graduates have the opportunity to continue their studies in the doctoral program (PhD) of D. Serikbayev EKSTU in the specialty 8D05301 – "Technical physics".
