The educational program 7M07107 "Transport, transport engineering and technologies" is designed to train a practice-oriented specialist who has knowledge and skills in the design, manufacture and operation of transport equipment, practical skills in implementing technological processes and managing production and production:

  • knowledge of current trends in the development of scientific knowledge in the field of design, manufacture and operation of transport equipment;
  • ability to apply scientific methods of knowledge in professional activities;
  • ability to evaluate the effectiveness of technical systems in transport technology;
  • knowledge of methods and means to improve the efficiency and quality of research for innovative development and application of ideas in the context of research in the field of transport technology;
  • ability to critically analyze existing concepts, theories, and approaches to analyzing processes and phenomena during project and research tasks;
  • the ability to integrate the knowledge gained in the study of modern theories of strength and durability to solve research problems in new unfamiliar conditions;
  • think creatively and be creative in solving new problems and situations in the development of new technologies;
  • skills in organizing and managing all types of work in the implementation of technological processes.

Graduates of EP 7M07107 "Transport, transport engineering and technologies" can hold the position of production Director; Deputy Director for quality and technical control; head of Department; design engineer; process engineer; engineer for operation and repair of transport equipment.

The objects of professional activity of graduates are enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan of all forms of ownership:

  • assembly plant,
  • auto repair companies,
  • companies and organizations involved in the operation of transport equipment,
  • design, technological and scientific organizations,
  • machine-building plants that produce transport, road and construction equipment and their components,
  • car repair companies,
  • enterprises and service organizations for transport, road and construction equipment.

For training focused on the formation of professional competencies, a modern innovative laboratory "Lu Ban Workshop" has been created, which can already train qualified specialists in the field of engineering practice, transport equipment and technologies, as well as to work with more environmentally friendly hybrid cars and electric vehicles.

   Luban Workshop ("Lu Ban Workshop") – includes 2 sectors:

  • The sector of fuel, hybrid and electric car service technologies is located in a separate building, a complex of educational laboratory equipment, includes the latest models of cars with an internal combustion engine, hybrid power plant and electric vehicle, as well as training platforms for studying the device, diagnostics and technical service of these cars, their units and systems.
  • The SMART car technology sector includes a set of equipment that implements SMART technologies and artificial intelligence elements in automotive structures to ensure the active safety of cars and their autonomous driving.

In addition, in the field of Transport, transport machinery and technologies, there is a Scientific and Production Center for certification testing of automotive fuels and oils. It includes a complex of equipment for gasoline, diesel fuels and lubricants testing in "SPC "SATiM".

Currently, classes in special disciplines of the educational program are conducted by 1 doctor of science, 4 candidates of science, 3 doctors of PhD, and 1 master. Master students are actively engaged in research activities.

During implementation of educational program, it is mandatory to involve students in research work. The results of scientific research of undergraduates are regularly published in publications of national and international significance.

Undergraduates participate in the academic mobility program. Partner universities: Moscow automobile and road state technical University (MADI), Moscow, Russia, Wroclaw University of science and technology, Wroclaw, Poland.

Undergraduates take an active part in competitions of scientific works, in National and International scientific conferences of young scientists and students.

At the National competitions of research works in the specialty, undergraduates annually take prizes.

After graduation, the student is awarded an academic master's degree in the educational program 7M07107 "Transport, transport engineering and technologies". Master's theses are defended at the main enterprises of the East Kazakhstan region and in the Luban Workshop laboratory ("Lu Ban Workshop").

After completing the master's degree, graduates have the opportunity to continue their studies at EKTU in the fields of doctoral studies.

A number of foreign scientists have been involved in conducting classes and scientific consultations for doctoral students. The full-time professor Kot Marcin Adam - Doctor PhD Habil. Eng. professor at AGH University of Krakow is teaching at the International School of Engineering (direction Transport, Transport Machinery and Technology).

Employment of graduates of the master's program in 2023 has the 100% level.
