The research and production complex "Metallurgy" is designed for research and development of technological processes for processing mineral and man-made raw materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the creation of new materials and coatings. The complex was created on the basis of laboratories within the framework of the SPIID-2 program in 2015.

Structure of the complex

The purpose of the scientific and production complex is the formation of effective, high-quality, modern scientific and scientific production sites that implement SREDW in the field of mineral processing and materials processing.

The complex is characterized by the joint use of a common scientific and technical base for theoretical and applied research, pilot production. The scientific and production complex in its work relies on forecasts concerning the long-term development of science and technology in the interests of the effective development of industrial technologies in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Tasks of the scientific and production complex

The activities of the «Metallurgical» Research and Development Company are aimed at the development of scientific research in the field of processing of mineral and secondary raw materials, taking into account the state priorities of scientific and technical development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and their socio-economic significance for the state. Conducting research related to research and implementation of innovative biotechnological methods in the mining industry: development of environmentally friendly biotechnologies for processing non-traditional raw materials (hard-to-enrich ores and concentrates, tailings of cyanidation of gold recovery factories, tailings of flotation of copper and lead-zinc factories, copper clinkers, breakdowns and other waste of mining enterprises.

On the basis of the Metallurgy Research and Development Center, students and undergraduates conduct laboratory work and experimental research, the results of which are later used in writing term papers, diploma projects and master's theses.

The Competence and Technology Transfer Center in the field of Metallurgy and Mineral Processing is a structural subdivision of the School of Metallurgy and Mineral Processing. /p>
