Primary trade union organization of workers of RSE "D.Serikbayev EKSTU"

The public association "East Kazakhstan Regional Organization of Education and Science Workers" was created according to the industrial, sectoral and territorial principle and is a voluntary association to express and represent the interests and protect the rights of trade union members working in educational and scientific organizations, as well as students in vocational education organizations, regardless of ownership. The Regional Trade Union is a member organization of the Public Association "Kazakhstan Branch Professional Union of Education and Science Workers" and carries out its activities in the territory of the East Kazakhstan region in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laws and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter of the Branch Trade Union. The regional trade union is independent in its activities from state authorities, employers, political parties and other public associations, it is not accountable to them and is not controlled by them. The Trade Union builds its relations with them on the principles of mutual understanding and social partnership.

Primary organization is a structural subdivision of a trade union located directly in the organization and consisting of trade union members who are employees of this organization. The primary organization of a trade union is an organized structural unit of a trade union and the corresponding territorial organization of the trade union. The main objectives of the trade union are: protection of the labor, economic, professional and social rights and interests of its members in accordance with the procedure established by law; improvement of working conditions and protection of their work. The basis for achieving these goals is a collective agreement - the main document regulating social and labor relations between the administration and the collective. Therefore, today the main aspect of trade union work can be called the conclusion of a collective agreement. The success and effectiveness of the trade union committee depend on its quality.

For many years, a collective agreement has been concluded at the university, which includes provisions regulating labor relations, ensuring the creation of safe and healthy working conditions for university employees and regulating many social guarantees and benefits:

  • compensation for the rehabilitation and treatment of employees and teaching staff;
  • establishment of salary payments, vacation pay, rating and incentive allowances;
  • provision of monthly surcharges and coupons for special meals to employees engaged in work with harmful working conditions on the basis of current labor legislation in accordance with the results of workplace certification;
  • provision of university staff, according to the norms, with work clothes, personal protective equipment, first aid kits, detergents and disinfectants;
  • financing of healthy lifestyle activities;
  • financial assistance to parents with disabled children from childhood;
  • provision of additional paid leave to employees working in harmful and especially harmful working conditions.
