Goal: organizing research activities in the field of social sciences and humanities at the regional, national and international levels to obtain new scientific results on the processes of development and modernization of Kazakhstani society in the global and macro-regional context, as well as to develop practical recommendations for the effective management of socio-demographic risks and analysis of the transformation of social demands.

Achieving the set goal is carried out by solving problems in several directions.

1. RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

• A comprehensive study of the formation processes and development of the kazakhstan sovereign demographic system, long-term analysis of the Kazakhs demographic development and other ethnic groups in the context of modern modernization processes;
• studying the processes of Kazakhstani urbanization, identifying the features of the evolution of the Kazakhstani city sociocultural space;
• development, organization and conduct of sociological research to study the current Kazakhstan reality;
• understanding the features of sociocultural dialogue and identifying new opportunities/risks for its occurrence in the conditions of kazakhstan’s modernization;
• development and implementation of interdisciplinary scientific projects, participation in competitions of various levels for the implementation of scientific research work;
• solving current design and research problems, developing forecast scenarios and models for the integrated development of socio-demographic processes;
• introduction of digital technologies in social and humanitarian research (digital social research);
• contributing to improving the image of domestic science in the international information space.

2. SCIENTIFIC AND ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES

• organizing and conducting scientific conferences, scientific and methodological seminars, open lectures, master classes and other events, including with international participation and online;
• arrangement and publication of the results of research, scientific and practical activities in both printed and electronic formats;
• presentation of scientific results of DIGITAL SOCIAL RESEARCH center;
• organization of an open design, research and scientific discussion space for students, undergraduates, doctoral students and teaching staff.

3. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

• Introduction of new scientific results into educational programs;
• training in project activities, increasing motivation and attracting young researchers to the practice of scientific research;
• scientific and scientific-organizational consulting for students, teachers and staff, teachers of educational organizations on research and project activities;
