The aim of the educational program

Preparation graduates for professional research and technological activities in mining and metallurgical industry, nuclear manufacturing, competitive in a labor market, to solve research and technological problems using modern equipment and research methods in the field of physics of modern materials and technologies for their production and processing, providing basic humanitarian, social, mathematical and natural science knowledge, universal and subject-specialized competencies, underlying the professional activities

Graduate qualification Professional sphere:

Chemical, chemical-technological production, processes of obtaining metals and alloys, metal products of the required quality, as well as processing workflow that change the chemical composition and structure of metals (alloys) to achieve certain properties, cross-cutting professional activities (in the field of material production, as well as the field of scientific research). Graduates can carry out professional activities in other areas of professional activity and (or) areas of professional activity, provided that the level of their education and acquired competencies meet the requirements for the qualification of the employee
The object of professional occupation:

- technological processes and devices for processing of mineral and technogenic raw materials, production and processing of non-ferrous and rare metals, and also products from them;
- industrial enterprises of non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical, mining and machine-building industries;
- production, design and scientific divisions;
- firms of different forms of ownership;
- the main types of modern structural, functional inorganic (metallic and non-metallic), including radiation-resistant and corrosion-resistant compositions, and organic (polymer and carbon) materials; composites and hybrid materials; superhard materials; intelligent and nanomaterials, films and coatings;
- methods and means of testing and diagnostics, research and quality control of materials, films and coatings, semi-finished products, blanks, parts and products, all types of research, control and testing equipment, analytical equipment, including for irradiated materials.

Functions of professional occupation:

- implementation of technological processes for the production and processing of materials, metals and alloys, as well as products from them;
- control over the technological process and operation of the equipment;
- ensuring compliance with the regulations of the technological process and the quality of the products;
- implementation of measures to protect the environment from man-made impacts of production;
- preparation of technical documentation on quality management of technological processes in production;
- preparation of initial data for selection and justification of scientific,technical and organizational decisions based on economic decisions;
- collection of information for feasibility studies and participation in the development of new projects and reconstruction of existing workshops, industrial units and equipment;
- calculation and design of individual stages of the process in accordance with the terms of reference using standard design automation.
