The aim of the educational program

Creation of an educational environment favourable for professional formation and intellectual development of a specialist who is able to successfully carry out development and research in the field of land management and cadastre, demonstrate functional literacy and competitiveness in professional, scientific and pedagogical activities.

The field of professional activity of graduates who have mastered the Master's programme includes the system of management of land relations, the system of management of land resources and real estate objects, organisation of land use territories, forecasting, planning and design of land use, rational use and protection of land, registration, cadastral evaluation, topographic-geodesic and cartographic support of land management and cadastres, formation of cadastral information systems, inventory of real estate objects
The object of professional occupation:

- land resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan of all categories, all types of land ownership and land use, irrespective of their division by categories, target use and forms of ownership;
- territories of administrative formations;
- land use and land plots of agricultural enterprises and organisations.

Functions of professional occupation:

- preparation of assignments for the development of projects and schemes of territorial planning and land management;
- preparation of geodetic and cartographic support for land management and cadastres, development of methods for drafting projects and schemes of land management and territorial planning;
- development of technical specifications for processing databases of automated cadastral systems, approbation of instructional materials for cadastral, design and survey and topographic-geodetic works, monitoring of real estate objects;
- introduction of software tools for collection and processing of initial information for the purposes of state cadastre and land management.

1. Analysis, critical evaluation and integration of practical experience and research in the professional and socio-personal spheres. To know the methodology of scientific research, new educational technologies and modern trends in the field of profession based on the integration of philosophy of science and natural sciences, the role of education and science in social activities, professional competencies of a higher school teacher.
To apply in practice skills and abilities in the organisation of research and project work, observing all principles of academic ethics, legal protection of intellectual property and understand personal responsibility for the goals, means, results of scientific work.
2. To possess the culture of thinking, the ability to generalise, analyse, critically reflect, systematise, forecast, set goals and choose ways to achieve them, the ability to analyse the logic of reasoning and statements. To speak a foreign language at a professional level, which allows conducting scientific research and teaching special disciplines in higher educational institutions.
Analyze and evaluate the conditions and consequences of organizational and managerial decisions in professional activity.
3. Ability to determine the main directions and methodological approaches in obtaining reliable land cadastral information for use in solving modern problems of land management and cadastre. Be able to search, store, mathematically process and analyse information from various sources and databases, present it in the required format using information, computer and network technologies.
To search for optimal tasks of land management of different territorial level taking into account modern economic, social, ecological conditions, on the basis of monitoring of natural resources and real estate objects.
4. Ability to conduct scientific research and investigations in the system of land management and cadastre, on the basis of statistical processing and identify factors affecting the indicators of land use efficiency. Know the development trends and be able to apply modern global satellite positioning systems, geoinformation, cadastral systems and technologies, automated design systems to maintain geodetic, cartographic, land cadastral information at the current level.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the system of forecasting, planning, rational use and protection of land, taking into account their reclamation condition, principles of landscape organization of territories and geo-ecological approach.
5. Ability to independently carry out research developments using modern equipment, instruments and research methods in land management and cadastre, make practical recommendations on the use of the results of scientific research. Be able to carry out planning and analysis of forecasting the use and protection of land resources, analysis and development of projects and schemes affecting the development of the RK territories.
To be able to carry out complex ecological and economic assessment of territories and real estate objects in the development and adoption of regional management decisions, business plans of production and other activities on the basis of application of promising and innovative methods of real estate assessment.
6. Ability to use modern information technologies, techniques, applied software tools in solving the tasks of professional activity. Develop design and working technical documentation on land management and cadastres, development of real estate objects and control compliance of developed projects and technical documentation.
To develop effective solutions in the system of land resources management on the basis of analysis and assessment of legal, economic, technological state and scientific and methodological support of land management and cadastre branches.
