Description: Formation of concepts in the field of labor protection, study of international and state standards and standards for labor protection, occupational safety management systems in organizations, solving safety problems, reducing and eliminating the risks of exposure to dangerous and harmful factors in specific production conditions, taking into account modern requirements of industrial sanitation, safety, electrical safety and fire prevention.

Goal
- Training of young specialists who know the theoretical and practical basics of labor protection, formation of specialists ' ideas about the continuous unity of effective professional activity with the requirements for human safety and protection, preservation of their health and performance, readiness to act in extreme conditions.
Objective
- - creation of normal conditions in the areas of work and recreation of a person; - development and implementation of measures to protect humans and their habitat from harmful influences; - design of new equipment and technological processes in accordance with modern requirements for the safety of their operation; - stability of the functioning of economic facilities and technical systems in normal conditions and emergencies; - forecasting and assessment of the consequences of an emergency; - making decisions to protect the population, production personnel from the consequences of accidents, catastrophes, natural disasters and the use of modern means of destruction, as well as taking measures to eliminate them.

Teaching methods
When conducting training sessions, it is envisaged to use the following educational technologies -1) technologies of traditional educational activities (Lecture-seminar). 2) technology of educational and professional activities. 3) problem-based learning technology. 4) technologies of development training. 5) technology of differentiated learning. 6) Business Game Technology.
Assessment of the student's knowledge
Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:
- 40% of the examination result;
- 60% of current control result.
The final grade is calculated by the formula:
