Description: World architectural heritage reveals the connection with the architecture of previous eras, carries out the continuity, preservation and transfer of the achievements of the past studies the basic compositional patterns on the example of historical architectural works, forms an idea of the basic stylistic patterns of architecture of past eras.

Goal
- To form in students an integral analytical perception of the dialectical development of world architecture since ancient times and a systematic approach to the study of the formation of architectural styles.
Objective
- -Study and disclosure of relations with the architecture of previous epochs, continuity, preservation and transmission of the achievements of the past; - study of the main compositional laws on the example of historical architectural works; - study and analysis of works of architecture, on the basis of which the internal laws of its development are revealed - the study of the regularities of form and the identification of the most stable of them in the evolution of architecture.

Assessment of the student's knowledge
Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

Evaluation form
The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:
- 40% of the examination result;
- 60% of current control result.
