Description: Theoretical and practical foundations of traditional folk arts and crafts and modern trends of their development are examined. Coloristic, semiotic, compositional, constructive laws and features of folk arts and crafts are studied and mastered.

Goal
- To acquaint students with the traditional and modern development of artistic painting as one of the primary forms of preservation and development of folk art in architecture.
Objective
- - Introduction to the evolution of artistic painting; - the study of the color palette, coloristic patterns of different types of artistic painting; - formation of ideas about the basic laws of color and its influence on architectural forms; - mastering of the technique of different types of artistic painting; - acquisition of practical skills in applying harmonious color combinations in various abstract and decorative works.

- Understand the patterns of different types of painting, techniques and methods of the process of depicting them.

- Use the theoretical foundations of constructive, perspective color-tone images of various objects in the design activity.

- Competently apply abstract and decorative techniques of artistic painting in creative solutions.
Teaching methods
When conducting training sessions, the following educational technologies are envisaged: - experimental and empirical methods of creativity; - individual independent approach to work; - search-creative activity (individual experimental practical work and study of special literature); -the method of innovative formation of a creative "portfolio". - search-and-research (independent research activity of students in the process of learning).
Assessment of the student's knowledge
Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

Evaluation form
The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:
- 40% of the examination result;
- 60% of current control result.
The final grade is calculated by the formula:
