Goal
  • To form a student's holistic view of open urban spaces, to acquaint with the approaches, techniques and means for solving problems in the organization of the material and spatial environment of human life.
Objective
  • to master the practical skills of methods for analyzing the architectural environment, the existing object-spatial models; to study the methods of design and synthesis of elements in the architectural environment; be able to model the architectural environment, taking into account the interaction of man, architecture and space.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
  • understand the typological and compositional foundations of the formation of the urban environment, the types and boundaries of environmental behavior, and structural and scale elements of the external living environment;
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
  • to design a subject-spatial environment, taking into account the environmental behavior and typological diversity of objects. Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the architectural environment;
Learning outcome: formation of judgments
  • to develop a competent integrated solution for the organization of the urban environment, to give a critical assessment of the design solutions of architectural objects in design practice;
Learning outcome: communicative abilities
  • present information, ideas, problems and solutions to audiences and subject matter experts; argumentatively and convincingly present project proposals;
Learning outcome: learning skills or learning abilities
  • gain knowledge of architectural and planning solutions to design objects on the basis of the typological approach.
Teaching methods

Lectures, practical exercises, watching videos, independent research of students in the learning process, solving educational problems. Natural examination.

Assessment of the student's knowledge

Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

Creative exam - clauzura The work was completed in accordance with the assignment. The topic of the assignment is covered deeply and completely. The elements of the clause are arranged compositionally correctly, logically and consistently. The stylistic unity of graphic techniques, images and explanatory text is fully maintained. The aesthetics of the design of the work is at a high level. The degree of completion of tasks is from 90 to 100%. The work was completed in accordance with the assignment. The topic of the assignment is covered in full. The arrangement of clause elements with a slight violation of scale and compositional integrity. The unity of graphic techniques, images and explanatory text is slightly disrupted. The aesthetics of the work is at a good level. The degree of completion of tasks is from 70 to 89%. The work was completed in accordance with the assignment. The topic of the assignment is covered to a greater extent. The arrangement of the elements of the clause has violations of scale and compositional integrity, and the depth of elaboration is insufficient. The unity of graphic techniques, images and explanatory text is significantly disrupted. The aesthetics of the work is at a satisfactory level. The degree of completion of tasks is from 50 to 69%. Evaluation form

The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:

  • 40% of the examination result;
  • 60% of current control result.

The final grade is calculated by the formula:

FG = 0,6 MT1+MT2 +0,4E
2

Where Midterm 1, Midterm 2are digital equivalents of the grades of Midterm 1 and 2;

E is a digital equivalent of the exam grade.

Final alphabetical grade and its equivalent in points:

The letter grading system for students' academic achievements, corresponding to the numerical equivalent on a four-point scale:
