Special course on the physical basics of renewable energy
Description: The content of the discipline provides for consideration of the principles of conversion of energy from renewable sources into electrical energy and its combination. On the basis of a number of basic disciplines, the subjects of study are general technical, social and economic issues of renewable energy, the design of power plants, energy conversion systems, as well as options, problems and advantages of the integrated use of renewable energy. The discipline provides for the study of issues of development, installation, operation and maintenance of power plants on renewable energy sources, including determination of energy potential, calculation of parameters of power plant components on renewable energy sources and characteristics of electricity generation, power regulation with automation circuit solutions, energy accumulation during autonomous and network operation, as well as ways to improve technical solutions of systems.

Goal
- students acquire knowledge about the modern approach to energy problems based on new technologies widely used in world practice, the ability to competently and efficiently use power engineering installations, possess the necessary knowledge to participate in the development of automated production management systems involving computer technology, as well as in the modernization of production.
