Description: The discipline studies the theoretical bases of the technical operation of vehicles, analyzes strategies and methods for maintaining performance, and presents a methodology for determining technical operation standards. Students study the system of car maintenance and repair, complex indicators of the efficiency of their technical operation. They learn car maintenance and repair technologies and acquire practical skills in performing operations

Goal
- The purpose of studying the discipline is to form a system of scientific and professional knowledge and skills among students in the field of fundamentals of technical operation of vehicles (FTOV).
Objective
- formation of students' scientific, grounded approach to the organization and technology of work on maintenance and current repair of transport equipment; mastering by students of methods of ensuring the operability of transport equipment; familiarization of students with scientifically based methods of developing standards for the technical operation of transport equipment; creation of students' concepts of the patterns of formation of productivity and throughput of service facilities; formation of students' scientific thinking on a comprehensive assessment of the quality of maintenance and current repair of transport equipment.
