Geochemistry
Description: The discipline studies the chemical composition of the Earth and the processes occurring in its interior and on the surface, as well as the interaction of chemical elements and compounds in the Earth's crust, atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere. Geochemistry combines knowledge from chemistry, geology, physics, and biology to understand the composition, evolution, and dynamics of the Earth, as well as to solve applied environmental and conservation problems.
