Description: Studying the regularity of seismicity distribution in the territory of Kazakhstan, the impact of earthquakes on buildings and structures. Clarification of earthquake intensity scale; determination of parameters of strong seismic impacts and methods of their forecasting taking into account soil properties; development of methods to improve seismic resistance of soils and structures; seismic microzonation.
