Materials in the automotive industry
Description: Within the framework of the discipline, students deeply study modern structural materials and alloys that are used in the automotive industry. Special attention is paid to the materials used to create body structures, parts of aggregates and assemblies. In addition, materials for anti-corrosion treatment, as well as those used for sound insulation and interior decoration of cars, are being considered. The course also focuses on new innovative materials and composites, as well as additive technologies used to manufacture car components. Students gain comprehensive knowledge about the production technologies of various materials and alloys, master the methods and means of their processing, and also study methods for assessing their quality and properties. As a result of the training, students acquire key skills and practical skills necessary for processing materials and alloys. They are trained to test them and gain competence in evaluating their properties, which is crucial for ensuring the reliability and durability of automotive components.
