Description: The discipline develops students' ability to understand the principles of relay protection of local systems based on renewable and alternative energy sources, analyze their features and apply knowledge to the design and operation of protective devices. The course covers the theoretical foundations and practical skills of relay protection and automation in local renewable energy systems, including the principles of operation, design of protection devices, calculation of settings, installation and commissioning, as well as consideration of technical and environmental aspects. The student will be able to design and configure relay protection of local renewable energy systems, taking into account the specifics of their operation, select appropriate power equipment and control circuits, as well as solve technical and environmental problems during the design and operation process.
