Inspection of buildings and structures
Description: The course provides practical and theoretical skills in organising metrological control and testing of building materials, products and structures. Students learn how to plan and conduct experiments, perform inspection of the technical condition of buildings and structures using modern methods of diagnostics and instrumental control. Approaches to damage analysis, assessment of residual resource and selection of methods of reinforcement of structures; justification of decisions on reconstruction, overhaul or reinforcement of construction objects are considered.
