Geodesy and GIS in design
Description: The complex of geodetic works necessary for design and construction with the use of modern geodetic equipment (topographic surveys for the preparation of topographic maps and plans, creation of plan and height surveying, mathematical processing of the results of geodetic measurements, solving problems on topographic maps and plans) is considered. The application of geographic information systems (GIS) in architecture and urban planning for collecting, analyzing and using spatial data in design tasks is studied.
