State regulation in the sphere of geodesy and cartography
Description: To develop students' knowledge of the system of state regulation, regulatory framework, standards and control mechanisms in the field of geodesy and cartography, necessary for the implementation of professional activities. The discipline examines the structure and functions of state management in the field of geodesy and cartography, including the powers of authorised bodies, national standards, licensing, accreditation, quality control of geodesic and cartographic works, is devoted to legislative acts, as well as interaction with cadastral, urban planning and GIS structures. Upon completion of the course, the student is able to navigate the system of state regulation of geodesic and cartographic activities, apply legislative and regulatory documents in professional practice.
