Description: The discipline studies and applies techniques for research and treatment. Students evaluate methods for studying the mechanical, electrical and bioelectric properties of organs, select methods for recording magnetic fields, apply photometric and indicator methods, predict the results of functional studies, use physicochemical methods and explain physical and electromagnetic effects on the body.

Goal
  • Goals and objectives of the discipline: consideration of the theoretical foundations and regularities of conducting biomedical research, as well as methodological schemes and principles of their implementation, including the study of methods of diagnostics of organisms (mainly humans) and therapeutic effects on them.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
  • To know: the features of the organization and conduct of medical and biological experiments; the main groups of diagnostic methods focused on the study of various manifestations of the vital activity of the body; methods for studying the properties of bioassays; the main groups of methods based on external therapeutic and therapeutic effects on the body; methodological techniques for performing various therapeutic and diagnostic procedures; sources of errors in determining the doses of therapeutic effects, side factors and ways to account for them.
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
  • Be able to: select technical means for the implementation of the selected method of diagnosis and therapeutic effects; select technical means if necessary for complex and functional studies; select technical means and their parameters when implementing the selected method of therapeutic effects. Possess: methods of calculating biomedical indicators and solving issues on the presentation of research and other information to the user.
