Description: Analysis of legislation in the field of healthcare and medical devices both in Kazakhstan and in the world. Studying the procedure for state registration, assessing the quality and safety of medical devices in Kazakhstan, comparing it with international practices, and streamlining knowledge about the organization of quality management in medical institutions; procedures for maintenance and repair of medical equipment, differentiation of requirements for handling medical equipment, and diagnosis of possible problems in its operation.

Goal
  • The purpose of this discipline is to study the issues of circulation of medical devices in Kazakhstan, in particular monitoring, procurement, acceptance, installation, organization of maintenance, decommissioning and disposal for specialists in the field of biomedical engineering, namely, the features of the development of a quality management system, including this treatment, both for manufacturers and consumers of medical devices.
Objective
  • Tasks of studying the discipline: -formation of knowledge about monitoring of medical devices; -formation of knowledge about the purchase of medical devices; - formation of knowledge about the acceptance of medical devices; - formation of knowledge about the organization of maintenance of medical devices; - formation of knowledge about the write-off of medical devices; -formation of knowledge about the disposal of medical devices; - formation of knowledge about the quality system in organizations.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
  • To know: - the place of health economics in the modern system of economic knowledge; - basic terms in the field of economics and health management; - the relationship of health economics with economic theory and other elements of the modern structure of economic knowledge, economic practice; - the essence of medical and economic research and methods of health economics; - systems and forms of healthcare; - international medical organizations; -to know and take into account the main features of the consumer of health services; - have an idea of the basic concepts of the organization (management) and the economics of healthcare.
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
  • Be able to: - apply the most important methods and techniques of economic analysis, allowing in the future profession; - to make effective management decisions in the field of economics of a medical organization; - to assess the conditions and consequences of organizational and managerial decisions (management); - to diagnose the factors of the internal and external environment of a medical organization and use its results for making managerial decisions; - analyze the content, nature of implementation and results of the economic process in healthcare. Own: - skills of studying and analyzing scientific literature and official statistical reviews on health economics; - the technology of choosing the optimal ways to increase the economic efficiency of the medical organization as an economic entity; -demonstrate the ability to develop and implement the technology of the process of educational services, the formation of constructive relationships.
